2022 Transverse Pinot Noir
Tasting notes:
The aromatics might have you thinking the 2022 Transverse is rich and full but it is a bright and lively wine. Ripe cherry, strawberry, and raspberry float out of the glass. These fruit aromas mix with a chalky note with a bit of a pine resin character that verges on the edge of sage. On the palate it is big and bright. Raspberry, rhubarb, and tart cherry are the first flavors that hit you on the front of the palate. More red fruit, think Pomegranate, leads to a finish that gives some surprising blood orange zip. This wine will add palate weight as it ages and right now it can pair with almost anything on the dinner table. (9.1.24 - Alan)
