2022 Perli Vineyard Pinot Noir
Tasting notes:
Historically Perli leans towards the black fruits and the 2022 shows a big bold blueberry nose. The twist in the plot this year is that it is definitely those first berries of the season that have a wonderful acid pop. Alongside this bright/dark fruit is a bunch of minty notes like California chaparral, fresh cut cedar, and aromatics of those alpine looking peaks of the Mendocino Ridge AVA. The palate leans solidly to the earthy side of the Pinot spectrum. Pretty mushroom notes show on the back of the tongue as the wine finishes with some chalky tannins that dry your palate just a bit.
