2017 Cartograph Estate Pommard Clone Pinot Noir

Tasting notes:

This wine presents as fairly savory on the nose and palate. Aromas of fermenting grain and sawdust mix with perfume-like lilac and red licorice. The Pommard from the estate vineyard adds a bit of palate weight and earthiness to the Estate blend. In this 100% Pommard wine you get good weight on the mid-palate. The fruit characteristics are subtle red fruit flavors and a pretty hibiscus tea note with some nice round tannins on the medium finish. (Updated 4.15.19 - Alan)
