2016 Green Ranch Riesling
Tasting notes:
Of the five Green Ranch Rieslings we have in the bottle this 2016 is the lightest on the palate. It has bright and pretty aromatics showing orange blossom, apricot, lime, mango and a soft touch of Lily blossom. The wine seems to float on the palate and has softened ever so slightly over the past couple years. Citrus is the focus but more lime than the expected lemon. That apricot that was in the aromatic profile shows on the palate as well with a nice pop of Granny Smith apple. The finish is medium in length and shows a good balance between the plentiful acid and lingering stone fruit. (Updated 6.10.22 - Alan)
