Tasting notes:
Rhubarb and an aromatic mix of cherry and spices evoke a warm cherry pie when you take your initial sniff of this wine. Roll in a hint of mint and mushroom and there is a lot going on with this year's Mariah vineyard designate. Flavors of plum and ripe apple lead you into a long and complex finish. And while there is only 20% new French oak used in the cellaring of this wine the oak does add some palate weight that contributes to that long finish. (Updated 1.15.17 - Alan)
