2015 Greenwood Ridge Riesling
Tasting notes:
Having only three-ish years in the bottle this wine is still showing as a young Riesling. The main aromatic components are floral and fruits. Violets, pear, Fuji apple are up front with a peaches and cream side note. The palate is still on the structured side of the equation that brings to mind things that are not typical wine descriptors. I want to call it open, clean, and linear. There are some classic Riesling notes on the palate like wet slate and fresh flowers with a bit of grip on the finish showing the skins were a bit thicker in 2015, or I left the juice in contact with the skins for a bit longer than other years. That was a long time ago. (Updated 7.1.19 - Alan)
